Taking up the spirit of our founders to take care of the homeless, orphan children our sisters have been able to provide 5200 girl children basic school education through the following institutes which include St.Francis Assissi, Karuvanur(1935), Sarthosadan Karanchira (1963), Sanjo Bhavan , Kuzhikattukonam (1976), Deepthi Bhavan Karanchira(1979), Clare Home, Karuvannur(1980), Cherupushpa Bahavan, Puliparambu (1980), Vimala Childrens' Home South Thanissery (1981), Laverna Donjosabuk,Kenya(2004), Kripanilayam, Thuruthiparaambu (2009). Of these, 6 institutions are functioning as free boarding houses for the poor children. As per the decision of 1999 renewal synaxis, associated to Vellikulangara Saint Paul's social centre, Snehalaya palliative care unit began functioning in 2000 for the terminally ill. By serving poor, destitute women suffering from age related ailments, Poyya Fatima old age home (1981) and Snehaleya unit have provided loving care and service to a total of 187 women. To provide Vocational training to the differently abled, in 1975 Shanti Bhavan Vocational Training Centre for physically challenged was established. It provides training in computer, type writing, book binding, and tailoring courses to these children. Thus they are enabled to procure self employment or gain government jobs. As per 2013 Provincial synaxis, with the intention of serving the bedridden children and women with physical, mental and intellectual challenges Thessery Palana Bhavan was started set up and still continues to serve Lord's children.

In view of extending support to the families to gain their livelihood 170 women are provided vocation through garment units which include Shefy garments Vellikulangara (2004), Clare garments Chemmanda (2007) and Alpho garments Vettilappara (2010). Seraphic social Centre (1970) providing residential vocational training for girls has successfully enabled 1319 students to find a source of income, and St.Paul's ladies centre (1978), where poor unmarried women are given permanent residence and job and the Seraphic handicraft Centre (1980) are functioning in a good way till date. Auto drivers fellowship named "Sarathi" which started in 2013 has 60 members under 6 Units. Sisters help to bring more goodness in their lives and service through Sarathi. Meetings, special feast day celebrations and financial aid are part of Sarathi fellowship gatherings. As per 2019 Provincial Synaxis decision "Naomi" fellowship Group for widows was initiated and now includes 90 members. Activities include monthly meetings, prayer gatherings and visiting the sick, thus serving to empower the widows. In association with Diocese's Prison ministry our sisters visit prisoners in different prisons. Activities include conducting prayer with prisoners, Easter and Christmas celebrations, preparing them for receiving sacraments, visiting their family, looking into the education of their children and providing necessary financial assistance. Once in three months they visit Viyoor Central Jail as well. Associated with beatification of Blessed Rani Maria who gave up her life and became a true witness in today's world to Jesus's mission to give freedom to the oppressed, Liberation to the captives and sight to the blind; 15 Prisoners who had to continue in prison even after the stipulated time, the ransom money required for release was arranged and were liberated from prison through our services thus bringing great joy to their families. As part of the Province's "Save A Family Project"-1000 rupees per family is given to 50 families every month. We also help few girl students from poor families in their Professional Studies- Nursing. For girls coming from far off places for studies or work, hostel facilities are provided in SH college, Chalakudy (1980) Mary Rani, Irinjalakuda (1995), Nirmal Bhavan, Mogappair (1995), Thiruhridayaram, Chalakudy (2006), Vijayamatha nursing Hostel, (1979), Christuraj Kodungallur ( and Presentation, Vellikulangara. We could extend financial help to 197 families facing crisis during Corona pandemic. In 2017 and 2020 to help with livelihood earning we provided auto rickshaw, sewing machine, facilities for domestic animals/poultry farm, cutting machine for small scale startups, wheelbarrow extra for deserving poor families. By providing land for families who couldn't afford land to built houses, and giving land and building houses for those who did not have either, was a great consolation for many families . In 2020, in view of the centenary death anniversary of the initiator of undivided Thrissur province Rev.Fr. Anthony Kavungal 7 families were given land for house construction at Karuvanur, the home place of our mother house.
