With evangelization as the objective, in 40 Parishes with or without the presence of FCC convents, 106 of our sisters are serving in Catechetical ministry. Through family visits, animating family units in respective parishes, cooperating with the Diocese home mission program our sisters are active in the Parish ministry and pastoral care. By serving in institutions in and out of the diocese our sisters are rendering services in field of evangelization. In view of restoring family soundness and unity "Mathrujyothis" retreats were being held in various Parishes for mothers. These retreats, over time gained wide acceptance and as demand for family retreats was pressing these were changed to retreat for families under the name "Kudumbajyothis". So far this retreat has been conducted in 40 Parishes by a the team of 25 sisters. Prior to the retreat in a Parish our sisters conduct family visits there so as to ensure better preparation and participation. Counseling, confession, Gospel based classes and follow-up sessions are all part of these retreats. Our sisters help for Holy Mass, Adoration and counseling services in Potta, Aloor and Muringur retreat centers. During summer vacation by being part of Catechetical ministry through Grace fest program our sisters attempt to deepen faith and moral values in children and promote vocations to religious life and priesthood in young minds . To add authenticity, and to increase effectiveness of evangelization through catechesis and faith formation sisters are encouraged to do Theology studies and potential of those already trained are utilised in catechetical ministry as well. As per the decision taken in 2013 Provincial synaxis, on September 26, 2013 a "God's Providence home" was started in Chandrappiny which is a testimony of Franciscan simplicity and Gospel poverty. Opting to reside in a house with minimum facilities, provided in the Parish by the Parishners, 4 of our sisters each year serve in a selected Parish by participating in catechetical ministry, family visits, family unit gatherings and activities for family renewal and upliftment, thus becoming partakers in the evangelization ministry and Pastoral care. So far 6 parishes has been covered under this program. By distributing Holy bible, Prayer books, "Grain of wheat" magazine and by contributing to the Bible printing efforts of Fiat Mission our sisters are keenly participating in this ministry.
