Apostolate of Education is one of the  very  effective means to  Spread the Gospel message. “Christian education is one among the prime charity works” mentions  our constitution. This  encouraged our province to take up the challenge of leading the young minds into illumined world  of wisdom from  dark world of ignorance. In 1911 Karuvannur St. Joseph CGHS marked the beginning of Education Ministry in undivided Thrissur province.  Following this   through 21   Educational Institutes  which include St Anthony's CGHS Kottat,(1920),   Sacred Heart CGHS Chalakudy (1925), Saint Anthony's CGHS South Thanissery, (1946), Presentation CGHS Vellikulangara (1954),  Sacred Heart  CGHSS  Chalakudy (1997), Jothis parallel college etc. our sisters are working relentlessly   to instill moral values and form good value based living  in  the younger generation.  Today, our education ministry that began in 1917 has spread beyond Kerala to Kenya too. Chalakudy Sacred Heart College which began  as a Junior College with Pre degree course for  educating women  in a  26 acres of land was raised to first grade status in 1991.Currently 1200 girls are studying here in various courses which include 9 UG and  7 PG courses. NAAC A+ grade achieved in 2017 and the Star college status granted by DBT in 2018 has raised this college to one among the best  colleges in Kerala.  Through education ministry we are able to focus on curricular and extracurricular activities of children and  extend timely spiritual and psychological support and instructions to students as well as  their parents.
