Silchar Mission

      The Diocese of Irinjalakuda has marked the beginning of the Silchar Mission on 15th of August 2019 with the motto -‘I Thirst’. As per the invitation of the Bishop of Irinjalakuda Diocese, Mar. Pauly Kannookadan, the Provincial Plenary Council of 2019 under the Presidential ship of Rev. Sr. Lilly Maria, the Provincial Superior, took the decision to send our sisters to Silchar Mission as the messengers of the Gospel. The first FCC missionaries of Sichar mission are Sr.Maria, Sr.Jais Maria, Sr.Deepa Therese and Sr.Liya Therese. On 8th September 2020 we started our first convent thereand was named St. Theresa’s F.C Convent. This was a new step taken up in the year of the Silver Jubilee of Bl. Rani Maria’s Martyrdom. The Silchar Mission is a united geographical area which includes the states of Tripura and Mizoram along with three districts of State of Assam. The new Mission House is located at Mandwi in Tripura. There, our four sisters give witnessing values in the field of Education and Social Service.
